The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) homecoming could leave him suspicious.
It was easy for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to pretend everything was fine in occasional video calls.
But it’ll be different when they’re interacting with Connor all the time – especially in person.
It may not take Connor long to figure out something’s up with his parents, so he may worry this has something to do with him.
Connor could easily let some negative thoughts creep back in and express concern about being a burden.
Although Chelsea and Adam will work to calm any anxiety, Connor may continue to believe something’s off.
It’s easy to imagine Connor doing some eavesdropping and trying to figure out the real story.
Connor may be in for a shock if he overhears Adam and Chelsea talking about their night of passion in Baltimore!
Perhaps Adam will once again stress the importance of keeping a lid on their cheating mistake and get Chelsea to promise she understands.
Chelsea and Adam have already been worried about what might happen if Connor became privy to their betrayal blunder.
If Connor ended up blaming himself and suffered a mental health setback, Adam and Chelsea would feel horrible.
However, things may play out a little differently if Chelsea and Adam’s fear comes true. Connor has grown up a lot lately and has a new sense of maturity now that he’s been learning tools to deal with his OCD.
Instead of going into a downward spiral or using this information to play parent trap, Connor may ultimately push for honesty. Since Connor cares about all parties involved here, he might insist the truth is the only way to move forward.
Connor could argue that Sally Spectra (Coutney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) need to know what happened.
It’s not fair to keep Billy and Sally in the dark – nor is it healthy for Adam and Chelsea to keep pretending they can live under the weight of this secret.
Connor might compare this issue to his OCD and how ignoring it didn’t make it go away. It only made life more difficult, so Connor may give Chelsea and Adam the push they need to make some tough confessions.
Adam and Chelsea’s one-night stand will inevitably get exposed somehow, so will Connor discover the shocker and force his parents to do the right thing?
