Jack P. Shepherd is famed for playing David Platt in Coronation Street, having taken on the role when he was just 14 years old.
The actor has become a soap icon thanks his Corrie role, with David being a fan favourite.
Jack, 36, joined the cast of the ITV soap back in 2000 and has remained on the show ever since.
He’s taken on some huge storylines during his 24 years in Weatherfield, which have helped him land numerous awards nominations.
The soap star’s work has helped him amass a huge net worth too, with Jack believed to be one of the highest earners in soapland.
He’s income from Coronation Street combined with other projects has reportedly seen Jack become a mulit-millionaire.
It’s been said that Jack earns £250,000 per year for is role as David Platt. The Mirror reported in 2018 that he’d landed a new lucrative contract with ITV, which saw him earn £30,000 more than his previous deal.
Away from Weatherfield, Jack has appeared in theatre productions including Oliver! and West Side Story. He also has his own successful podcast, Sofa Cinema Club, with Corrie co-stars Colson Smith and Ben Price. On social media, Jack can earn almost £1,500 per each of his sponsored Instagram posts. With all of his income combined, it’s believed the actor is worth a whopping £6 million.
With this figure in mind, there’s no doubt Jack will be splashing the cash when it comes to his wedding to fiancée Hanni Treweek. The couple announced their engagement on social media in July 2024 following a romantic proposal while on holiday.
“05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!” Hanni, who used to work on Coronation Street as a storyline writer and researcher, wrote on Instagram as she shared news of the engagement. In a follow-up post, she said “we have a wedding to plan!!” hinting that hers and Jack’s nuptials will come sooner rather than later.
Prior to beginning a relationship with Hanni in 2018, Jack was engaged to longterm partner Lauren Shippey. The pair dated from 2002 until 2017, but didn’t make it down the aisle. Jack and Lauren are parents to daughter Nyla, 11, and son Reuben, seven. He also has a son, Greyson, with Sammy Milewski.
