General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the show’s been announcing multiple returns lately, so fans are getting excited over all the looming comebacks. However, there’s another name that GH might want to think about adding to the list!
Sherilyn Wolter played Celia Quartermaine Putnam Holt on the ABC soap from 1983-1986, but many viewers still remember her and think it might be time for a return stint.
That’s because Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) could use a relative on canvas.
Sasha has been growing closer to the Quartermaine clan, so wouldn’t it be a great twist if she turned out to be an actual Q family member?
On social media, some fans have already suggested the idea that Sasha could be Celia’s long-lost daughter.
If that’s the case, maybe Celia should come back to town for a reunion with Sasha.
TV Insider had a chance to speak with Sherilyn Wolter before a recent fan event for Santa Barbara, where Wolter played the devious role of Elena Nikolas.
When Wolter was shown a pic of Sofia Mattsson, she admitted she could see a resemblance.
Wolter couldn’t confirm whether Celia and Sasha might be related since she obviously doesn’t know what the writers have in store.
That said, Wolter spoke fondly of her time on GH and said she’d “be there” if she was asked to reprise her role.
Wolter reflected on what a wonderful experience she had during her General Hospital run and noted that she’s still pals with Emma Samms (Holly Sutton) to this day.
The fact that Holly and Celia were friends on-screen as well was something both actresses enjoyed playing – as opposed to the typical catfights that come with being soap rivals!
It’s worth mentioning that Emma Samms’ return as Holly Sutton is already in the works, so perhaps Celia Quartermaine’s comeback could follow.
It’s at least an option to mull over since Sherilyn Wolter would be down for stepping into Celia’s shoes again.
Sasha believes her mother passed away, but parental curveballs get thrown all the time on soaps. Maybe Celia could be Sasha’s bio mom and come walking back into her life at some point.
