General Hospital spoilers tease that the show has been teasing Lulu Spencer’s (last played by Emme Rylan) return in recent weeks.
As viewers know, Lulu has been in a coma ever since November of 2020, when Lulu and several other Port Charles residents were caught in a deadly explosion at the Floating Rib.
Although Lulu didn’t appear to be seriously hurt at first, she collapsed a few hours later right before she was about to declare her love to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zomprogna).
After emergency surgery, Lulu has been comatose ever since.
Eventually, Dante found love with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Meanwhile Lulu’s daughter Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) was recently shot and almost died.
However, she is now on the run with criminal father, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) is living with Dante and Sam along with Sam’s two children.
Dante recently confided in Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that he wasn’t sure the visits were good for Rocco but Laura told Dante to let Rocco tell him what he needs regarding seeing Lulu.
Lulu’s brother, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) has also been away for a very long time. But Jackson is returning to the show and should be airing by late August.
Rumor has it that Lucky will first be spotted in Africa, but it won’t be long before he returns home to see Laura. It looks like Laura’s heart will soon be full because at least two of her children will soon be with her. That’s right! Lulu should be waking up very soon!
During a leaked casting call, it was reported the soap is looking for someone to play “Lauren”. The description for “Lauren” sounds very much like Lulu.
Emme Rylan later confirmed that “Lauren” is indeed a recast of Lulu and that she would not be returning to the role. Regardless of who is playing the part, Lulu is very much needed in Port Charles so it will be wonderful to see her back. Whether or not she reunites with Dante remains to be seen.
