General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease when GH pharmacist Clement (Philip Cass) is under the gun, he might throw Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) under the bus! Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) took the pharmacist in for questioning after Ava Jerome (Maura West) gave him the lead-but Cates promised not to implicate her!
General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Cassadine Started The Tampering
It was Valentin who started the tampering, and it was a part of the Pikeman conspiracy between himself and Jack Brennan, (Charles Mesure) who he’d taken over the leadership for. By now, that Brennan wiped everything from the system including Jagger’s evidence on Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) Valentin’s likely is too.
But he told Brennan he was paying a pharmacist to reduce the amount of lithium and one other med in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) prescriptions.
Clement was the pharmacist that Valentin was paying-he called him a supplier, but the GH pharmacy is where Sonny gets his meds. Now, under the gun and in danger of arrest by the FBI, Clement might give Valentin up to save his own skin!
Cates sees an opportunity to get back in good graces with his bosses, who wanted the Pikeman head to begin with-but Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) let him run! But he also knows Sonny could blame his crimes on his meds being tampered with-which actually, had been Valentin’s plan.
Cates presses Clement to spill on who started the meds tampering-before Ava, who had come in claiming to be Sonny’s wife. He “promises” FBI protection if he agrees to sign a statement and that he won’t be prosecuted-Clement shouldn’t believe him, but he does.
Cates works two ways-convincing with kindness or threatening with arrest-Clement spills the tea, throwing Valentin under the bus.
General Hospital Spoilers: Now Cates Devises A New Plan
Now Cates devises a new plan-to help Ava and take down Sonny and get revenge for himself both against Sonny and Anna. If it weren’t for Anna letting Valentin flee, he could have had him in prison already, and killed two birds with one stone. He figures he’ll use Clement’s statement to blame Anna for losing the head of Pikeman and arrest her as a co-conspirator and get Ava’s charges dropped.
Eventually Valentin will be found but for now he can use the statement from the pharmacist and he’ll be even with Anna too. After all, she’s the one who notified his boss that he was involved with Ava, even though he and Ava both deny that’s what happened!
