The casting call sparked major speculation of a recast with multiple outlets reporting the news. Actress Emme Rylan took to her Instagram Story to respond to an article from ABC Soaps In Depth.
She revealed that the rumors were true. She isn’t returning to General Hospital and the show was recasting the role. “Yes it is true. GH has decided to recast Lulu,” she wrote.
She added that she was “disappointed” but was glad to have “closure” after years of speculation about her return. The news seemed to confirm fan speculation that Lulu is waking up from her coma soon. Could her dad, Luke Spencer, be right behind her? Luke “died” in 2022, but anything is possible on soaps!
Shades The Show As ‘Poison’?
Emme Rylan may have been a touch more than disappointed by General Hospital‘s decision to recast Lulu Spencer. She shared two shady quotes on her Instagram story before confirming the recast news.
The first quote said that the “only change closure you need is understanding that you deserve better.” Interesting, considering her later comment about getting closure.
The second cryptic quote talks about how God removing someone from the table where the host was serving them “poison.”
While the quotes could have been about anything, the timing is certainly suspicious.
