As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Nish’s ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) have devised a plot against evil Nish.

So that they can get their hands on his business assets.

This was sparked when he sold the Bridge Street Cafe back to former owner Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) for £1, telling them that everything else would be donated to the Gurdwara.

Since then, Vinny has been doing anything to get back into his dad’s good books, aiming to win his trust back.

Unfortunately for Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), this meant that Vinny was prepared to through her out of the family home after Nish told them he’d slept with her.

The move seemed to impress him, and poor Priya was left homeless – meaning she had to take desperate measures.

Luring him into the store room of the Minute Mart under false pretences.

She proceeded to handcuff him to the pipework until he agreed to film a confession video, admitting that he lied over their sex scandal.

Later, Vinny and Suki wondered why the shop was closed and openly discussed their plan, unaware that Nish could hear every word from the next room.

Oh dear!

In tonight’s episode he was still tied up and breathless, with Priya clocking a notification on his phone saying that his medication was overdue.

She called by on her hostage and demanded he record the video, but he remained defiant and said even if he did agree, he would tell his family that it was said under duress and report her to the police for false imprisonment.

Vinny and Suki feigned concern when Ravi (Aaron Thiara) arrived at No. 41 and said that Nish hadn’t returned home. The lads rushed to the shop after realising it hadn’t been opened up for the day and found him being hounded by Priya.

Later, Suki’s girlfriend Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) advised her to give up on the plan and focus on her future. Little did either of them know, the plan was well and truly scuppered.

Nish told Vinny he was happy with his recent business know-how, though told Ravi he was handing over the call centre to him. Vinny was upset by this, though Nish chillingly told him he had ‘bigger and bolder plans’ for his other son.

Those plans? Well they seem to involve Ayesha (Laila Rouass), an old friend of Suki who he asked Avani (Aaliyah James) to track down.
