Emmerdale’s Samson Dingle, portrayed by Sam Hall, is set to face more turmoil in the upcoming episodes, with his future in the village hanging by a thread.
The teenager has found himself in a sticky situation since befriending local troublemaker Josh Cope, played by Osian Morgan.
As regular viewers of the ITV soap will recall, Samson and Josh were involved in a robbery at The Hide while Matty Barton,
played by Ash Palmisciano, was on duty – a situation that quickly spiralled out of control.
A subsequent argument led to Samson being accidentally stabbed, after which he falsely accused Matty of intentionally attacking him, causing a rift within the Dingle family.
Matty endured a distressing stint in prison before Samson finally confessed the truth, clearing Matty’s name and securing his release.
However, Samson’s massive lie has now landed him in legal hot water as he shielded Josh from any repercussions. In the coming week, Samson will learn what his future holds, reports the Express.
In the forthcoming episodes, Moira, Matty’s mother, played by Natalie J. Robb, makes it clear she still harbours resentment towards Samson despite his attempts at reconciliation.
But Samson eventually gathers the courage to confront bully Josh. His parents, Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia (Karen Blick), are horrified when their son takes things too far and assaults Josh.
The police show up at The Woolpack to arrest Samson for his latest offence, and Moira can’t hide her satisfaction at the outcome.
Her reaction, however, leaves her husband Cain Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, questioning whether she had a hand in Samson’s arrest.
Later in the week, at The Woolpack, Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is anxiously awaiting news from Samson’s plea hearing. She’s deeply concerned about the potential impact on her daughter, Esther, if her biological father ends up behind bars.
The Woolpack falls silent when Lydia walks in with news from the court – will she announce that Samson has left the village? Or is he a free man?
