During her trip to Wales, Belle was put in danger time and time again thanks to Tom’s (James Chase) abusive behaviour. 

It eventually resulted in her running away from the Welsh cottage, catching a bus and racing back to the Dingle home in the Dales.

As Belle slowly started to accept in her mind that Tom has been physically and mentally abusing her for months, she took a stand by telling him their marriage was over.

Seeing his wife stand up to him and take control has obviously bothered Tom incredibly. 

In upcoming episodes, he decides to try and get the power back by organising a homecoming for Belle, who has been away in Scotland.

When Belle gets home, she is greeted by Sarah (Katie Hill) who reveals Tom has bought her a new car – a retro mini.

While this is going on, Tom has let himself into Dale Head. When Belle enters, she’s stressed when Tom starts talking about wanting them to get back together. Putting her foot down, Belle tells Tom that she won’t accept the car and definitely doesn’t want to reunite.

Troubled, Tom takes action by trying to make an already anxious Belle feel guilty. Still, she stands in defiance of Tom as he tries all his tricks to talk her round.

Fortunately, Belle remains strong and tells him that she doesn’t want to see or talk to him for a very long time.

To Belle’s surprise, Tom then agrees to her boundaries and leaves.

Later on though, we see him in the pub beer garden, watching Belle through another secret security camera.

This isn’t over yet.
