Emmerdale is about to be hit by a massive baby revelation, with a key character making a comeback to the ITV village.
Fresh soap spoilers have revealed that Dr Liam Cavanagh’s life is about to be turned upside down following the tragic death of his teenage daughter Leanna, who was m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d by serial k.i.l.l.e.r Meena Jutla. In an unexpected turn of events, GP receptionist Ella, encouraged by Mandy D.i.n.g.l.e’s support, decides to share her pregnancy news with Liam.
This revelation is set to cause major upheaval for Liam, who had promised Chas a drink together as he worries about Ella’s return to the Dales. The pair clearly still have feelings for each other and sparks fly, only to be dampened when Ella experiences a strange episode while strolling on Main Street.
Liam is stunned to discover she’s unwell because she’s expecting, and ends up spilling the beans to Chas in the Woolpack. Meanwhile, Liam is livid, leaving Ella distressed.

The next day, Chas finds it hard to comfort Liam as he grapples with the prospect of fatherhood after losing Leanna. However, he refuses to answer the door when Ella comes knocking.
Later in the week, Mandy is enraged when she learns that Liam won’t even speak to Ella, and heads over to give him a piece of her mind. Finally ready to listen, Liam agrees to meet Ella but insists she take a pregnancy test to confirm she’s being honest and not keeping him in the dark again.
Actor Jonny McPherson revealed last month about Liam’s shocking discovery that Ella was a m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r, having served time for the death of her best friend. He expressed at the time: “Liam is absolutely devastated. I think it’s multifaceted in that he had trusted Ella, he had taken her in when she was homeless but the main thing is the fact she did what she did as it relates so much to his daughter having been m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d all those years ago. So it is a double betrayal.”
“I think this relationship is now almost definitely cooked! I mean never say never but I would say it’s almost definitely it. On multiple occasions Ella could have told him the truth. She had so many chances to open up and tell him about her past but she didn’t.”

“And just the fact she moved into his house and they were actually cohabiting. He was living at such a close proximity to someone who had killed somebody’s daughter. So many layers of lies. He feels utterly betrayed and very upset. I don’t think there is any coming back from it,” he admitted.
