Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is on a mission in EastEnders next week, as she tries to get to the bottom of Ian’s (Adam Woodyatt) mysterious behaviour.
The Walford entrepreneur raised suspicions last week, taking secret calls and receiving intriguing messages, but told his family he has been distracted as he is running for local council.
Ian also said he is off to a leadership course in Manchester, but Cindy and her son Peter (Thomas Law) have not been buying what he is telling them – especially when Cindy sees the contents of his suitcase.
In scenes to air this week, Cindy confronts Ian and asks him outright if he’s having an affair – failing to admit her own recent night of passion with former stepson Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) – but he reassures her he is not.
Later, however, Cindy makes another discovery that convinces her otherwise, and she enlists the help of ex-husband George Knight (Colin Salmon), and forces him to drive to a mystery address.
After realising where she has gone, Peter sets off in hot pursuit, unaware that Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) is hiding in the back of the van he’s borrowed from Martin Fowler (James Bye).
But just before they arrive, Cindy and George are stunned when Ian opens the door, leading to a dramatic confrontation…
