EastEnders fans are convinced an exit is on the way for Sonia Fowler – as she’s framed for murder.
Reiss shockingly killed his wife Debbie as he struggled to cope with the growing finances her care has been costing since she needed round the clock medical care, as him and partner Sonia desperately try to fund their IVF journey.
However, fans are convinced they’ve rumbled a potential prison storyline for Sonia – with viewers sure they’ve spotted a clue in the script that ‘proves’ Reiss is going to frame Sonia for what happened to his wife. Reiss struggled to cope tonight when the police got involved in Debbie’s death and a post-mortem was organised, worried the truth might come out.

Giving their theories, one fan wrote: “Why would they show that Sonia got shouted at by the nurse for “sneaking in” and her saying she hopes she dies in front of Martin just for it to go nowhere, its the most obvious “Sonia is accused of murder” storyline set up.”
A second added: “Sonya is absolutely getting blamed for it. I did think it was super weird when she adjusted the pillow to make her comfy (but just kind of flopped Debbie’s head to the side) like it was a completely unnecessary scene. But, of course, Chekhov’s comatose wife’s pillow. It was to plant the evidence against her,” whilst a third shared: “I thought her over exaggerated pillow fluffing was weird. Only now am i realising why it was in there. I completely see how Sonia is being set up for this but surely a member of staff went in the room between Sonia and Reiss’ visit and therefore saw her alive?”
“Sonia will be accused. One of the first things that he ever learned about her was that she was once accused of mother-in-law Pauline Fowler. We’ve seen how desperate he can get – that’s what he’ll do,” a fourth penned. A fifth wrote: “The whole thing about Sonia not signing in and then being told to sign in must have some significance, you’re right I think Reiss will deny that he went to see Debbie and Sonia will be made to look like the last person to have seen her.
“The post mortem may show asphyxiation and it may show she died under suspicious circumstances but surely the care home reception area would have cctv and they’ll see Reiss on there? Maybe there will be an investigation and Reiss will get away with it. Sonia is a perfect suspect for the reasons you’ve given and everyone knows how desperate for a baby she has been.”
