Someone at No.20 could rumble that Chelsea Fox was responsible for the Peggy’s crowd crush after the EastEnders troublemaker told her mother Denise Fox everything about the tragedy.
Penny Branning, played by Kitty Castledine, recently organised an event at Peggy’s, unaware that her employee (portrayed by Zaraah Abrahams) sabotaged her business by selling more tickets than the venue had the capacity for.
In recent scenes aired on BBC One, this resulted in a horrific crown crush at the club as multiple party-goers were taken to hospital over the incident, having sustained serious injuries – and one of them includes Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd).
As a result, Chelsea struggled to cope during this Tuesday’s instalment (September 3, 2024) of the BBC One soap, as Walford residents reeled from the incident, leaving Denise Fox (Diane Parish) to figure out her daughter was hiding something.
Soon enough, Chelsea had no other choice but to come clean, unaware that her mother is keeping her own secrets from everyone in Albert Square. But as viewers at home speculated that Chelsea’s confession may inspire Denise to face the music herself, another potential theory has emerged.
With Denise in the know, one could theorised that she may struggle to keep her daughter’s secret, as she once did keeping the truth about Keanu Taylor’s death under wraps. The hairstylist may eventually spill the beans to somebody in her home, her sister Kim Fox being the biggest contender
However, secrets never stay buried in Walford and, soon enough, another person at No.20 may find out, announcing trouble ahead for Denise – Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega).
The lad has been romantically involved with Amy Mitchell for several months, though their relationship has been nothing short of chaotic. Denzel may discover what Chelsea has done, leading him to tell Amy’s father Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and, eventually, an irreparable row within the Fox-Branning clan.
In another twist, Chelsea and Denise may both be faced with Jack’s wrath over her involvement in his daughter’s injuries and her throwing the blame on his other daughter Penny. As a result, Chelsea may be sent to prison, leaving her son Jordan behind with the rest of her family.
This may not even include Denise as the ordeal could have repercussions on the Six as Jack is well aware of Denise’s murderous secret. Could he get revenge on her by letting her go down for the death of Keanu Taylor?
