The real father of Coronation Street’s Alina Pop’s baby has been unveiled, and it’s not Tyrone Dobbs or Seb Franklin. Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) made a dramatic comeback to the cobbles last week with a major revelation – she now has a young son.
After bumping into her former love rival Fiz (Jennie Mcalpine) realised that her ex-husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) could potentially be the father of Alina’s child.
Fans will remember that Tyrone and Alina were in a relationship a few years ago – before Alina left Weatherfield, insisting she wasn’t pregnant. In her final scene, viewers saw her at the airport departures lounge, cradling her growing baby bump.
Fast forward three years, Alina is back, and when Tyrone discovered her return, he was taken aback. He managed to find her, where she confessed that he was the father of her son.
However, fans are sceptical and believe that Tyrone may not actually be the real dad of her son, reports the Express.
Viewers have been quick to voice their opinions on Alina’s baby revelation. Some are suggesting that the real father could be the late Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) – who briefly dated Alina during her first stint on the ITV soap.
In what would be a massive plot twist, other viewers are convinced that the actual father is soap legend David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd). Fans will remember that the pair had a one-night stand back in 2020.
Corrie fans are totally convinced that Alina might’ve had the wee one in secret off-screen and this would clear up why the tot looks a bit older than two.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, viewers have been firing off their theories, with one sleuth guessing: “I think Alina is lying and the baby isn’t Tyrones. She’s up to something.”
Another was quick to suggest: “She had a night with David Platt. Could definitely be a mini David! ” Meanwhile, a third fan confessed: “I forgot about this!”
Then another fan added their tuppence worth: “If the baby is older than 2 and he looks it, it could possibly be Davids.”
And a fifth chimed in, saying: “She did have one night with David and baby kind of looks like him. I think that is why she left rubbing her tummy. She knew it was Davids.”
