Coronation Street actress Sally Carman looked gorgeous as she wore a red swimsuit on her romantic getaway with her soap co-star before accidently missing their flight home

Coronation Street star Sally Carman looked worlds away from her soap character as she jetted on a romantic holiday.

The actress, who has played Abi Franklin in the ITV soap since 2017, has been enjoying the sun in Ibiza. She cooled off in a red swimsuit and has been dining at a luxury beach restaurant. Sally, 43, has been spending time with her husband and co-star Joe Duttine, 54. He is known for playing Tim Metcalfe on the show.

Sally looked gorgeous as she wore a red swimsuit by the pool and she chilled out on a sun lounger. She also posted snaps from her date nights with Joe as she wowed in a white shirt and leopard print trousers. They enjoyed a meal right by the sea as the sun started to go down.

The TV star also shared a selfie from the night alongside Joe, who beamed at the camera while wearing a pink shirt and flat cap. Sally posted phots from another evening of their holiday as she sat on a clifftop and admired the sea view. She looked chic in an open lace shirt with white vest and grey linen trousers.

However, she explained their holiday was accidently extended. She told her fans: “Missed the plane ( not great ) extra bonus night at @latorredelcanonigo ( pretty awesome ) #ibiza #longerweekend #ooops.” Opening up on her trip, Sally added: “What an island! She was flooded with compliments from fellow soap stars as Claire Sweeney left a series of red love heart emojis and Emmerdale’s Kel Allen added: “Bloody gorgeous darling!!” Coronation Street’s Tanisha Gorey commented: “Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!!!!” Actress Samia Longchambon wrote: “beautiful!!”

Sally and Joe have been married since 2022, having been engaged since 2020, and both work on the ITV soap. Despite both working on Coronation Street, their characters rarely cross paths on screen. The pair got engaged during lockdown as they decided to take their relationship to the next level. Joe proposed to her in a romantic treasure hunt with his kids involved.

Back in 2021, Sally said: “Coronation Street has completely changed my life, I feel really settled. I’ve got myself a fiancé, I’ve moved house, and I’ve got a family and brilliant friends. Before Corrie my life was about the next job. Now I’m at an age where I’ve pretty much done everything I want to do and this is a job where I get to do different storylines and hang out with good friends at work. Then I come home to my nice house and my family. I feel like I’m putting roots down for the first time in my life.”

She previously told the Daily Star: “He’s the funniest man I’ve ever met, to the point where I get sweaty and everyone’s like: ‘ugh, can you just get on with it?’ I never want to work with him ever again. I just can’t do it!” Joe is a dad to three children and Sally commented: “They’re gorgeous kids, it’s so easy and I feel really lucky to have that extension of a family. Not to be a mother figure, because they’ve got a mum and they don’t need another, but just to have a relationship and some part in their journey into adulthood is amazing.”
