Alina Pop will be part of a dramatic storyline on next week’s Coronation Street.
Soap fans will recall that Fiz Stape was left stunned last week when she bumped into husband Tyrone Dobbs’ ex Alina in Fresco’s car park. Alina, played by Ruxandra Porojnicu, was last seen on the cobbles back in 2021, where she fled the cobbles to Romania and hinted at a secret pregnancy with Tyrone’s baby.
Upon Fiz seeing her husband’s ex, Alina explained that she had been called as a witness in a trial but Fiz clocked Alina’s screensaver was her holding a little boy, leaving Fiz seriously unsettled as Alina claimed it was her nephew. Later, Fiz gently broke the news to Tyrone that he could potentially have a son and later in the week Alina confirmed that Dorin is Tyrone’s son.
As Alina readies herself for court, she’s confronted by the thug from the hotel bar who barges into her room
In spoilers next week, Tyrone’s daughter Ruby makes a fuss of her new brother while Hope Stape wants nothing to do with Dorin. Meanwhile, Alina starts receiving menacing calls and suspects it’s the people traffickers trying to intimidate her. However, it’s not long until Tyrone suggests that Hope might be behind it due to her past behaviour towards Alina – this accusation leaves Hope furious and she denies any involvement.
Later in the week, there’s more drama when Fiz is fuming when Tyrone admits he lied to her about a large bill which was in fact to pay solicitor Adam Barlow for a consultation about son Dorin. When Tyrone reveals that he’d like Alina and Dorin to move to Weatherfield, Fiz is horrified.
It’s not long until Fiz worries that Tyrone spending time with Alina could reignite their passion due to their past affair. Later, as Alina arrives to Weatherfield with Dorin, she explains to Tyrone that she fears she’s being watched. And it appears Alina has a reason to be worried as later, when she readies herself for court, she’s confronted by the thug from the hotel bar who barges into her room, threatening Alina against giving evidence. Will Alina be okay?
It comes amid fan fears that Alina could be killed off, leaving Dorin with Fiz and Tyrone. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “There HAS to be a twist to this Alina and Tyrone child story. It’s too simple #Corrie”, a different viewer said: “Alina’s death or child abandonment looms #Corrie” while another added: “Alina is going to die isn’t she? and Tyrone will be left with the baby #corrie.”
