First off, there was the disastrous date with Aurora, but things started looking up when he matched with Demi Mansfield (Lisa Shingler) 

and they enjoyed a date bonding over their shared dislike of Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).

However, their second outing ended with Demi abruptly walking out, telling Steve to ‘have a nice life’. 

Having seemingly called time on the dating game since, next week Steve makes a brutal dig about Demi 

when Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) enquires after her, admitting he’s ‘forgotten’ about her. 

Let’s not forget though, it was only a few weeks ago that Steve was convinced that Demi was his ‘prize halibut’ (his words, not ours).

So, have we really seen the last of Demi?

Steve been unlucky in love ever since wife Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) walked out on him for a new life in Spain with former footballer Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) earlier this year.

The affair was exposed when Tim caught them in the act, and couldn’t keep it secret from his best pal. Steve was initially furious but tried his best to win his true love back, to no avail.
