Corrie spoilers: Leanne rifles through Rowan’s computer and is horrified to find files named after her, Nick, and Toyah. It turns out Toyah was right—Rowan is a fraud, and yet Leanne had been following him all this time!

Leanne Battersby had always been a woman of fierce determination and strong convictions.

Life on Coronation Street had taught her the value of perseverance, and she had faced more than her fair share of challenges over the years.

But recently, something had shifted in her world. Rowan had entered her life like a whirlwind, charming, charismatic, and seemingly full of wisdom.

He presented himself as a man of insight and vision, someone who could offer the guidance and support that Leanne felt she needed in her life.

At first, Leanne was skeptical. After all, she had learned to be wary of people who seemed too good to be true.

But Rowan had a way of breaking down her defenses, of making her feel understood and appreciated in a way that few others had.

He spoke of self-improvement, of finding one’s true purpose, and of the importance of surrounding oneself with like-minded individuals who shared the same goals.

To Leanne, who had been struggling to find her footing after a series of personal and professional setbacks, Rowan’s words were like a balm for her soul.

Before long, Leanne found herself drawn into Rowan’s orbit. She attended his workshops, listened to his speeches, and even began to incorporate some of his teachings into her daily life. Rowan’s influence grew stronger with each passing day, and soon Leanne was convinced that he held the key to a brighter future—not just for herself, but for those she loved as well.

However, not everyone was as taken with Rowan as Leanne was. Toyah, Leanne’s sister, had been suspicious of Rowan from the very beginning. She had a keen sense for spotting deceit, and something about Rowan didn’t sit right with her. Toyah had tried to voice her concerns to Leanne, warning her that Rowan might not be the man he claimed to be. But Leanne, so enamored with the idea of finally finding a sense of direction, dismissed Toyah’s concerns as paranoia. She trusted Rowan and believed that Toyah was simply being overly cautious.

But Toyah’s words lingered in the back of Leanne’s mind, planting a seed of doubt that she couldn’t quite shake. There were moments when she would catch Rowan in an unguarded moment, a fleeting look of calculation in his eyes, or a vague response to a direct question that left her feeling uneasy. Yet, she always found a way to rationalize these moments, convincing herself that she was being overly critical, that Rowan was simply too complex to be easily understood.

One evening, Leanne found herself alone in Rowan’s office. He had stepped out for a meeting, leaving his computer unattended. That seed of doubt, watered by Toyah’s persistent warnings, began to grow into something stronger—an urge to find out the truth once and for all. Leanne hesitated for a moment, her heart pounding in her chest as she stood before Rowan’s computer. She knew that what she was about to do was a breach of trust, but the nagging feeling that something wasn’t right was too powerful to ignore.

With trembling hands, Leanne sat down and began to navigate through Rowan’s files. At first, everything seemed normal—documents, presentations, and notes from his workshops. But then, she stumbled upon a folder that made her blood run cold. The folder was innocuously labeled, but when Leanne opened it, she was horrified by what she found. Inside were files named after her, Nick, and Toyah.

Her heart raced as she clicked on the file bearing her own name. What she saw made her stomach churn. The file was filled with detailed notes about her life—her fears, her insecurities, her deepest desires. Rowan had been studying her, manipulating her every move, using the information he had gathered to pull her deeper into his web. She felt violated, as if her very soul had been laid bare and dissected for Rowan’s amusement.

Leanne quickly opened the file named after Nick. It was more of the same—carefully crafted observations and strategies for how Rowan could influence him, how he could turn Nick into a pawn in whatever twisted game he was playing. And then there was Toyah’s file. It was different, more hostile in tone. Rowan had recognized Toyah as a threat, someone who could see through his façade, and he had detailed plans to discredit her, to isolate her from Leanne and the rest of their family.

As the full scope of Rowan’s deception became clear, Leanne’s horror turned to anger. How could she have been so blind? Toyah had been right all along—Rowan was a fraud, a manipulative con artist who had preyed on her vulnerabilities. And yet, Leanne had followed him, defended him, even trusted him over her own sister. The realization was like a punch to the gut, knocking the wind out of her.

Leanne’s mind raced as she tried to comprehend the extent of the betrayal. Everything Rowan had said, every piece of advice he had given, every reassuring word—it had all been part of an elaborate ruse to gain control over her and those she loved. He had wormed his way into her life, into her family’s life, under the guise of helping them, all while systematically dismantling their trust and exploiting their weaknesses.

The room seemed to close in around Leanne as the enormity of the situation hit her. She felt sick to her stomach, overwhelmed by the magnitude of her mistake. She had allowed Rowan to infiltrate her life, to manipulate her into believing that he had her best interests at heart. But all along, he had been using her, studying her like a specimen under a microscope.

Desperate to undo the damage, Leanne quickly copied the files onto a USB drive. She needed proof, something tangible to show Nick and Toyah, to convince them of the truth. But even as she did so, a wave of shame washed over her. How could she face them after this? How could she admit that she had been so easily duped, that she had let a fraud like Rowan get so close to her?

As Leanne left Rowan’s office, her mind was a whirlwind of emotions—anger, fear, shame, and a deep sense of betrayal. She knew that confronting Rowan would be dangerous, that he was a man who had meticulously planned every move. But she also knew that she couldn’t let him get away with what he had done. He had underestimated her, thinking that he could manipulate her without consequence. But now, armed with the truth, Leanne was determined to bring him down.

Her first stop was Toyah’s flat. Leanne’s hands were still shaking as she knocked on the door, the weight of what she had discovered pressing down on her. When Toyah answered, she could see the concern in her sister’s eyes, the worry that had been there ever since Rowan had entered their lives.

“I need to talk to you,” Leanne said, her voice trembling with emotion. “You were right, Toyah. About everything.”

Toyah’s eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly ushered Leanne inside. As they sat down, Leanne handed her the USB drive, her face pale and drawn. “I found these on Rowan’s computer,” she said quietly. “He’s been playing us, Toyah. All of us.”

As Toyah plugged the USB into her laptop and began to read the files, her expression shifted from shock to anger. “That bastard,” she muttered, her voice thick with fury. “I knew there was something off about him, but this… this is worse than I thought.”

Leanne nodded, her eyes filling with tears. “I’m so sorry, Toyah. I should have listened to you. I should have trusted you.”

Toyah reached out and took Leanne’s hand, squeezing it reassuringly. “It’s not your fault, Leanne. He’s a manipulative, calculating piece of work. But we know the truth now, and we’re going to stop him.”

The two sisters sat in silence for a moment, the enormity of the situation settling in. They both knew that confronting Rowan would be dangerous, that he wouldn’t go down without a fight. But they also knew that they couldn’t let him get away with what he had done. Rowan had underestimated them, thinking he could control them with his lies and deceit. But he was about to learn that the Battersby sisters were not to be trifled with.

As they began to plan their next steps, Leanne felt a renewed sense of determination. She had been fooled, yes, but she wasn’t going to let Rowan’s betrayal define her. With Toyah by her side, she knew they could bring Rowan to justice and reclaim their lives from his insidious influence. The battle was just beginning, and this time, Leanne was ready to fight back.
