It’s fair to say Coronation Street’s Fiz Dobbs (Jenny McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) have had a rocky road to happiness, but things have been relatively smooth sailing for the couple since their reunion in 2022 – until now that is.
However, Fiz is floored in forthcoming scenes when she comes face to face with someone from their past that could have huge ramifications for their future.
Next week, the Weatherfield favourite is minding her own business, doing a spot of shopping at Fresco’s, when she bumps into Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) in the car park.
Soap fans will remember the character was introduced back in 2019 as part of a human trafficking storyline.

Fiz was later stunned when Tyrone confessed he was in love with Alina, and while the couple tried to make it work, they eventually split with Tyrone moving in with Alina.
Their romance wasn’t to last, however, with Alina leaving the Street in 2021.
At the time, it was heavily implied she was pregnant with Tyrone’s baby, despite telling him the contrary.
When Fiz sees her again next week, Alina explains she has been called to give evidence as a witness in a trial.
While Fiz faces a dilemma over whether to tell Tyrone that Alina is back, matters are taken out of her hands later in the week when, at the cab office, his mum Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) sees Alina’s name on an airport booking.
Taking Steve McDonald’s (Simon Gregson) cab, she helps Alina into the car before driving her back to Coronation Street to see Tyrone.
Alina’s furious to realise she’s been duped, but what will she say when she comes face to face with him? Does he have a secret child?
