Coronation Street fans could be in for another drama-packed teen pregnancy bombshell.
The ITV soap has never shied away from edgy storylines since its 1960 launch. Cast your mind back to the noughties
when Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) caused a nationwide gasp as she became the soap’s youngest mother at just 12, after a fling with her pal, Neil Fearns.
Sarah was none the wiser about her bump until she hit the five-month mark, a revelation that sent shockwaves through Weatherfield – and our telly screens too!
Fast forward to 1999, and young Sarah had to deal with giving birth to baby Bethany,
now portrayed by Lucy Fallon. But it looks like history might just be repeating itself on the cobbles.

(Isabella Flanagan) lets slip a massive baby clanger on her unsuspecting fam, reports the Liverpool Echo.
At the jump of the week, Fiz (Jenny McAlpine) is gobsmacked when Hope ditches Sam suddenly becoming buddy-buddy with Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes).
Hope seeks out Dr Gadass, aiming to nab some birth control pills. The doc hands over condoms instead and nudges Hope to have a family chinwag.
However, the Corrie fandom is all abuzz, betting their bingo winnings that Hope’s headed down mum road. Over on Facebook’s Coronation Street fan page, Corrie enthusiasts were quick off the mark, responding to the upcoming teasers; one speculator chirped: “Well that’s Hope pregnant then.”
Someone else hit back: “with what’s happened with her character so far is it really that surprising? Sam’s going to the dad.” Another added their two cents, saying: “Not another teen pregnancy. Think Corrie needs new writers! “.
Yet another joined the fray, exclaiming: “How old is hope 13 – already been done can’t they think of anything else.” And a fifth chimed in, fed up: “Not another tedious teenage pregnancy enough is enough.”
