Coronation Street is lining up some huge moments next week

Fans of Coronation Street can expect dramatic scenes next week, and the beginning of the end for one soap villain.

New spoilers for the ITV soap confirm one character close to Joel Deering could be about to orchestrate his downfall, as a number of discoveries lead to them following him – but what will they find? There’s also Tracy Barlow seemingly hiding something from her loved ones.

Another pair hiding the truth are Toyah Battersby and Nick Tilsley after their recent fling, but amid some hospital news will they be brought closer? Then there’s a shock attack on one character amid death fears – but will they be okay?

One character comes between two on/off lovers, and there’s also a discovery that could tear one couple apart. A villain will also continue to target a vulnerable character ahead of their looming downfall.

Let’s kick things off with evil Joel and the moment he could finally be caught out. After one lie too many, his fiancée Dee-Dee Bailey finally realises he’s not all he seems.

Next week, she ends up following him after finding out he’s hiding something from her, and she could get closer to the truth about Lauren Bolton. Dee-Dee investigates Joel’s real purchase from the jewellers after his lie about buying a bracelet for his baby daughter, and she’s stunned by what she finds.

Then, after she realised Joel had booked a trip to Belfast which left her confused, she realises Lauren is planning to move to this very location. Still not convinced about his claims about why he’d booked the trip, she points out the coincidence with Lauren – but as he claims ignorance, will she catch him out?

Determined to get to the truth, Dee-Dee follows Joel and soon enough she demands the truth. Later in the week the investigation into Nathan Curtis over Lauren’s recent disappearance is reopened it seems – so is this linked to Joel’s lies?

Elsewhere, Tracy makes claims about her lavish new life in Spain with Tommy, but Cassie can see right through her – is Tracy hiding the real reason she’s back? Alina finds herself the victim of threatening messages amid her being a witness against a crime boss she used to know. Things escalate though when a thug barges into her hotel room and attacks her – but will she be okay?

Toyah and Nick find their fling being discussed, so they decide to be distant – but when she visits the hospital following treatment after her ovarian cancer diagnosis, what will the doctors reveal? Kit Green causes trouble for Ryan Prescott and Daisy Midgeley, Beth Tinker risks losing Kirk and Rowan sets his sights on Amy Barlow once more, and it seems he’s finally convinced her to invest in the institute.
