Coronation Street dishes up the drama next week, as confirmed in my new spoiler videos, with killer Joel Deering (Calum Lill) on borrowed time as word of Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) return spreads.

Lauren, as viewers know, vanished without a trace a number of months ago, with poor Roy Cropper (David Neilson) incarcerated for the crime after the teen was declared dead by police.

Little did anyone know, however, that Lauren was very much alive, with the missing character coming out of hiding earlier this week to visit Roy in hospital after the cafe owner suffered a heart attack.

Joel, who is to blame for her vanishing, was seething with Lauren and, next week, his crimes start to catch up with him as fiancée Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) locates missing Lauren with some assistance from Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).

Is Joel set to finally be caught?

The twisted lawyer isn’t the only criminal on a mission next week as Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper) makes a shocking request – aka demand – of Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).

Monday July 15

Nina updates Carla on Roy’s condition after he wakes up in hospital. Dee-Dee joins her, with the two discussing Roy’s claim that Lauren paid him as visit. Dee-Dee believes that he was hallucinating but Nina has her doubts, thinking they should mention it to someone just in case.

A nurse reveals that a young woman came to visit Roy last night, with the description matching Lauren’s. Nina and Dee-Dee reel as they come to realise that Lauren is still alive after all.

Wednesday July 17

Betsy asks Joel for some more cash during a secret meeting in his car. Joel, however, receives a call from Dee-Dee who informs him that she thinks she’s found Lauren. What’s more, Dee-Dee knows that Lauren is pregnant!

Joel insists that she wait until he gets there but Dee-Dee is adamant that she wants to find Lauren now. Joel loses it with Betsy, ordering her to get out of the car at once, leaving Betsy in shock.

Friday July 19

Rowan pays Nick a visit at the bistro and attempts to manipulate him into giving Leanne what she wants. When Nick drags his feet, Rowan suggests that he use this gesture to Leanne as a way of easing a guilty conscience, confirming that – if Nick fails to part with the cash – he will expose his night of passion with Toyah.

Will Nick do as Rowan has demanded?

Joel Deering is in hot water as Lauren Bolton’s return shakes things up in Coronation Street. After disappearing for months and leading to Roy Cropper’s wrongful incarceration, Lauren makes a shocking return to visit Roy in the hospital. Joel, who is responsible for her disappearance, is in for a rude awakening as his crimes start catching up with him.

But Joel isn’t the only one facing consequences next week. Rowan Cunliffe is set to make a demanding request to Nick Tilsley, adding another layer of drama to the already tense storyline.
