Coronation Street viewers can expect big scenes ahead on the ITV soap, from a special episode to some familiar faces returning.

There’s a double return as villain Mason Radcliffe makes a comeback, while Abi Franklin also heads back to the cobbles after some time away. One of the returns leads to a brutal attack.

Also next week there’s a special episode focusing on two characters ahead of a sad death. Kit Green could be exposed for a big betrayal next week, but is all as it seems?

Nick and Toyah also find themselves being targeted by scammer Rowan, resulting in quite the showdown. Finally Joel Deering could find his secret link to Lauren Bolton exposed when someone gets suspicious. Here’s the biggest plots ahead on the show…

A villain returns and a special episode

There’s a return for villain Mason Radcliffe next week too after his release from prison. Mason bullied Liam Connor for weeks, destroying his mental health, while he also threatened him with a knife before framing Dylan Wilson.

What brings him back, and will it mean trouble for Dylan especially when Mason is found beaten up? Another return sees Abi Franklin head back to the street after taking some time away, amid her deepfake p.o.r.n ordeal.

Finally, there’s a special episode focusing on Paul Foreman and Billy Mayhew next week, as Paul continues to deteriorate following his MND diagnosis. Paul receives some distressing news, and the episode will focus on the new changes to his life, with the pair doing what he loves the most while he still can.

Joel’s plan for Lauren

Joel Deering could find his secret link to Lauren Bolton exposed (

Viewers will recall that Lauren Bolton made a shock comeback recently as Cait Fitton reprised her role. Weeks on from a brutal attack by Joel, which Weatherfield residents still don’t know about, Lauren, who was believed to be dead, was revealed to be alive as she headed to the hospital to visit Roy Cropper after he suffered a heart attack weeks on from him being wrongly imprisoned for Lauren’s ‘m.u.r.d.e.r’.

And things only got more explosive when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, forcing her into a family room and pleading with her not to reveal what happened. As violent and evil Joel went to lash out again, Lauren protected her stomach revealing she was five months pregnant with his baby in a huge bombshell.

And now spoilers for next week tease even more drama for the corrupt solicitor as he attempts to hide Lauren in his flat. In upcoming episodes, Joel’s fiancée Dee-Dee Bailey’s family, Michael and Ronnie, help Joel move furniture from his old flat to Dee-Dee’s place. In a bid to cover his tracks, Joel gets Lauren out of the flat by giving her money to go shopping.

Later, the group get on with shifting furniture when Ronnie decides to take a look in Joel’s fridge and is left confused to find it packed with ready meals for one. How will Joel respond to this and will Ronnie be left suspicious over the solicitor?

Kit’s betrayal?

Coronation Street looks set for dramatic scenes next week as Kit Green’s new betrayal is teased. Only recently, Bernie Winter learnt the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son Kit, weeks on from them reuniting after decades apart. Kit could not forgive Bernie, but soon claimed the loss of his adoptive mother made him change his mind.

Viewers had seen Kit acting suspiciously just as he told Bernie he wanted to get to know his secret siblings Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman. He claimed he was ready to give her a chance, making her think they could be a family. However, after telling his mum that he wanted them to break the news to Gemma and Paul together, arranging a meet-up at the pub, he went behind her back. Kit raced over to Paul’s flat and got the twins alone, before telling them his real identity.

And now, in spoilers for next week, it appears that Kit could have a new betrayal planned. In scenes this week, it is revealed that Gemma and husband Chesney face being evicted from their home. It’s not long until Bernie offers her support as she tells Gemma that the kids are welcome to stay with her while she and Chesney sort out somewhere to live.

Spoilers for next week reveal an update on Gemma’s housing crisis as a new betrayal from Kit is teased. In upcoming scenes, Gemma is left down when she learns that the landlord is sending someone to view No.5. However, in a shock twist, Summer Spellman is later left stunned to see an estate agent ushering Kit inside No.5. What has he got planned and how will his long-lost family react?

Nick and Toyah drama

Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley takes firm action next week as he finally stands up to villain Rowan Cunliffe. The character decides enough is enough amid ongoing drama with his partner Leanne Battersby. He steps in to defend sister-in-law Toyah Battersby amid their secret fling, and battle lines are drawn between him and scammer Rowan.

Rowan appears to cruelly target Toyah who is at the hospital after being told she had ovarian cancer in a recent episode. Viewers will be aware that Rowan targeted Leanne weeks ago to get her to join his organisation ‘the institute’.

The soap’s cult storyline has seen Rowan reel her in by using her trauma against her, and now he’s keen for her to invest. Despite warnings from her sister Toyah and husband Nick, Leanne can’t see that Rowan is using her and that his ‘self-improvement institute’ is all a scam.

It’s driven a wedge between the family, and Toyah’s hopes to bring Rowan down have led to her and Nick being blackmailed with Toyah forced to sign an NDA. But it seems this isn’t enough, with someone photographing Nick and Toyah again next week while Toyah attends a hospital appointment.

It’s not clear from the spoilers if it’s Rowan or not, but given he paid someone weeks ago to follow Toyah and get dirt on her, it’s safe to presume it could be him. Nick thinks so too, and it’s not long before he seeks out Rowan and confronts him.

Nick is attending Toayh’s appointments with her as Leanne is AWOL. But Toyah realises someone is following them, taking photos of them weeks on from their secret fling.

Nick takes action, and pictures show him having it out with an amused Rowan. How far will they go, and will Nick make matters worse as Rowan continues to blackmail them over their affair?
