Fans of Coronation Street could be saying goodbye to one cobbles favourite tonight.
Viewers will recall that it’s been a dramatic few weeks for Beth Tinker. Beth had been using the equipment at Underworld as part of her dodgy side hustle to sew logos onto counterfeit T-shirts. In recent scenes, Beth was rumbled by DS Lisa Swain’s daughter Betsy, who had been working at the factory on work experience.
This forced Beth to let Betsy join in on her side hustle for a cut of the profits in order to keep her secret safe. It wasn’t long until Beth informed Betsy that she had secured them a huge T-shirt order with criminal Sid and invited Izzy Armstrong to join their operation as the trio worked hard to sort out the counterfeit goods. However, Beth’s criminal business was soon rumbled while dodgy police officer Kit Green got into secret cahoots with Sid and his counterfeit T-shirt business, warning he wont say a word as long as he gets half the cut of profits.

On Monday night, Beth was fuming to discover Sid was selling their knock-off T-shirts in the precinct and keeping all the profits for himself. Beth was left further stunned to see Kit involved in the business, accusing him of being a bent copper and claiming to have rumbled he wasn’t the good guy he’d made out to be.
In spoilers for tonight it appears an exit looms for Beth. After handing her some cash, Kit tells Beth he wants her out of Weatherfield by the end of the week or he’ll end her son Craig Tinker’s police career. At the same time, Kirk Sutherland admits to Beth he can’t live without her and reveals Peanut wearing a neckerchief saying ‘Marry me?’ With Kit’s blackmail ringing in her ear, will she agree to leave the cobbles?
It has been reported that Beth actress Lisa George has quit the soap and even filmed her final scenes after 13 years. Last month, amid the reports, the actress had a night out with her co-stars, sparking more rumours she could be leaving the cobbles.
However, earlier this year, actress Lisa, who has been on the hit ITV soap since 2011, downplayed exit rumours to The Mirror. It remains to be seen if Lisa’s character Beth will leave the cobbles tonight…
