Coronation Street fans have ‘worked out’ Joel Deering’s sinister plan for baby Frankie after getting exposed.

The soap villain (played by Calum Lill) was finally caught out this week after months of lying. Viewers will recall sicko solicitor Joel was behind the disappearance of troubled youngster Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

Joel wormed his way into Lauren’s life after helping her out with bills, eventually coercing her into a sexual relationship. He then left he for dead after bashing her head in, following a heated argument.

Lauren ended up returning to the cobbles – much to the surprise of Joel. She also revealed that she was pregnant with his child – which led to Joel attempting to kill her.

In harrowing scenes, Joel drugged Lauren in a desperate attempt to kill the baby. His sickening plan didn’t work though, as she went into labour early and the baby, called Frankie, survived.

However, despite thinking he had gotten away with his crimes, this week – the truth came out.

Fiancee Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) ended up discovering that Joel attacked Lauren – realising he is really an abuser and groomer.

However, in a shock twist, Joel ended up going to the cops first, spinning a web of lies about Lauren. Joel ended up admitting he had a sexual relationship with the teen – but then lied and said that Lauren had got illegal abortion pills to try and get rid of the baby.

During a tense showdown in the station, Joel was arrested whilst Lauren was taken by DS Swain (Vicky Myers) for further questioning.

However, fans are certain that Joel could now end up kidnapping baby Frankie during a shock getaway. Rushing to X, one person said: “I hope Joel doesn’t kidnap Frankie.”

A second added: “Lawd Joel isn’t gonna run with Frankie is he?” A third also warned: “If you kidnap Frankie, Joel…”

While over on a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person mused: “What does everyone think will happen with joel? Will he be released and cause trouble or will they bang him up?”

Someone else wrote: “He got the tickets for Ireland didn’t he I think he will kidnap the baby and disappear. A new low even for him.”

Another person said: “He’ll probably try and take Frankie. Poor Lauren.”
