Coronation Street is lining up explosive scenes next week.

Spoilers for next week appear to hint at mystery newcomer Kit Green’s next plan as he targets an unlikely duo. Elsewhere, the hit ITV soap will air a surprise return for Tracy Barlow next week.

Kit Green’s next plan revealed as he ‘targets’ unlikely duo

Coronation Street has appeared to hint at mystery newcomer Kit Green’s next plan. Only recently, Bernie Winter learnt the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son Kit, weeks on from them reuniting after decades apart. Kit can’t forgive his biological mum for abandoning him and not making contact when he was younger with him attempting to turn her other two children, Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman, against her.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, police officer Kit planted a then missing Lauren Bolton’s DNA to frame Nathan Curtis, who was arrested, with real culprit Joel Deering still at large. While on Monday night, Kit got into secret cahoots with criminal Sid and his dodgy counterfeit T-shirt business, warning he wont say a word as long as he gets half the cut of profits.

In spoilers next week, there’s more mystery teased for Kit as he moves into Glenda Shuttleworth’s old room at the Rovers pub, realising it’s gossip central and will serve him nicely. Later in the week, as he moves into the Rovers, he decides to flirt with Daisy Midgeley. Meanwhile, Daisy’s love interest, Ryan Connor, is impressed with Kit’s vinyl selection and suggests going out for a drink. What does Kit want with Daisy and Ryan, and why is he moving into the Rovers?

Shock return for Tracy Barlow as Kate Ford reprises iconic role

Coronation Street will air a surprise return for Tracy Barlow next week. Kate Ford departed the ITV soap when Tracy headed off to Spain to be with her lover Tommy Orpington. Leaving her friends and family behind, including Steve McDonald – who she recently had split from, Tracy decided to quit Weatherfield to search for sunnier climes with her new boyfriend, prompting fans to fear actress Kate had quit the soap.

However, Tracy will make a surprise return to the cobbles next week amid a new storyline for Ken and Cassie. Ken was hospitalised after injuring himself in an accident at home and Cassie had been helping the Barlows to look after Ken whilst they were all busy with their own lives and their work – but when Tracy returns, she isn’t happy.

When she makes her way back to Weatherfield next week, Tracy is shocked to find out Ken is employing Cassie to be his carer. Cassie takes offence with Tracy’s comments and Ken is curious why she is back. She says she’s just there to be with Amy, but Ken senses there might be something else she is hiding – but what is it?

Joel Deering exposed by Dee-Dee Bailey after making big mistake

Coronation Street’s Joel Deering will find himself exposed by fiancé Dee-Dee Bailey next week after a big mistake. Soap fans will recall that Joel is hiding a big secret in the form of Lauren Bolton. Lauren made a shock comeback last month as Cait Fitton reprised her role. Weeks on from a brutal attack by Joel, which Weatherfield residents still don’t know about, Lauren, who was believed to be dead, was revealed to be alive.

And things only got more explosive when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, where Lauren protected her stomach revealing she was five months pregnant with his baby in a huge bombshell. Joel has been hiding Lauren in an empty flat and is still secretly visiting her as he attempts to get her move to Ireland sorted.

However, on Friday night, in evil and disgusting scenes, Joel drugged pregnant Lauren with pills that would bring on an early labour, resulting in her being rushed to hospital. In scenes this week, Lauren is terrified as her prematurely born son lies in an incubator as she fears whether he will survive.

And next week it appears Joel could be rumbled once and for all as his fiancé Dee-Dee spots an unusual detail. The solicitor notices a notification on Joel’s laptop asking him to rate his experience at Belfast Airport. Confused, Dee-Dee quizzes her husband-to-be about it. Panicked, Joel makes out he was meant to go for work but it got cancelled but is Dee-Dee onto him?

Later in the week, Dee-Dee hands Joel’s ex-wife Emily a fairy charm for his daughter Maeve’s bracelet, suggesting she might like to be a flower girl at their wedding. However, when Emily reveals that Maeve doesn’t have a charm bracelet and warns her to be careful as Joel’s still paying rent on his old flat, Dee-Dee’s confused.

Returning home and seeing Joel’s briefcase she opens it and finds a set of keys. Dee-Dee lets herself into Joel’s flat and searches the cupboards, convinced he’s having an affair. Will she find more than she bargained for and how will Joel cover his tracks?
