Coronation Street fans were left distracted by Mason Radcliffe’s return to Weatherfield as they think they have exposed his attack ‘lie’. 

The teen was seen looking bloodied and bruised following he release from the Young Offenders facility for being in possession of a knife – and not for the first time

Viewers of the ITV soap were left devastated earlier this year as they watched Liam Connor become the victim of cruel Weatherfield High bully Mason and his group of mates.

Including Liam’s friend Dylan Wilson.

It was during one of his horrific bullying sessions that Mason pulled a knife on the terrified teen but it wasn’t until later that his actions were discovered by the police.

With Dylan eventually supporting Liam’s bullying claims in court.

But last week, Maria Windass discovered Mason was being released and during Monday night’s (July 22) Corrie, viewers saw Mason for the first time in months.

A panicked Dylan was seen finishing his trial shift at Speed Daal before heading home, with every noise and person approaching him making him flinch. Shortly after he made his way into the precinct flat, Mason emerged from the shadows and didn’t appear to be in a good way.

Soon after, Stu Carpenter was taken aback to discover an injured and bloodied Mason sitting in the precinct par. Unaware that it was Mason, Stu questioned him about how he came to get his injuries, with him eventually confiding that it was his brother who attacked him.

Feeling empathy for him, having been in tough situations himself, Stu invited Mason to Speed Daal to clean up and have a warm meal. However, Sean Tully later appeared and was shocked to find Mason, revealing who he was and what he’d done to Liam and his own son, Dylan.

But Corrie fans were distracted by Mason’s appearance – and not because of his injuries. @HarryFan4Life_ asked: “Why does Mason look like he’s got a tan? #CoronationStreet #Corrie.” @InTheSavgeGardn wrote: “For someone who’s been locked up, he’s got a healthy tan #Corrie.” @cazzarennie joked: “Mason been in prison in the Caribbean? Fab tan!”

Others, meanwhile, don’t believe what he’s been saying. @unsworth1live wrote: “#Corrie even still when Mason opens his mouth lie’s just jump of his tongue.” @Greg_D_75 added: “Not buying this remorseful Mason act at all. #Corrie.”
