Coronation Street viewers are predicting a shocking twist that could see Alina Pop, played by Ruxandra Porojnicu, meet a tragic end at the hands of an unexpected character.
Alina made her surprising return to the soap this week, having first graced the cobbles in 2019 for two separate stints. During her second appearance in 2020, she caused a rift between Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his long-term partner Fiz (Jennie Mcalpine). The chemistry was instant between Alina and Tyrone, leading him to end his nine-year relationship with Fiz.
However, when Alina fell pregnant, Tyrone’s pyromaniac daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan) took drastic measures to break them up, setting a fire that resulted in Alina losing her baby.
Alina eventually left the street, telling Tyrone she wasn’t pregnant after all and had muddled up the dates. But in her final scene, viewers saw her at the airport cradling her growing baby bump.
Fast forward three years, and Alina is back on the cobbles. Tyrone was shocked to learn of her return and managed to find her, where she revealed he was the father of her son, reports the Express.
Now, fans fear that Alina might be written out of the soap in a devastating plot twist – and they think they know who will be responsible for her demise.
Soap fans have been airing their predictions on social media, with one viewer speculating on X: “So that’s Alina probably dead by xmas and Tyrone and Fizz raising the kid.”
Another added their two cents: “Now that Alina is back with a kid, she’s got a 90% chance of being dead by the end of the year. #corrie.”
