Two major characters are in the firing line next week when an arson attack hits the news in Coronation Street.

When Stefan Brent’s (Paul Opacic) office building goes up in flames, Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) grows suspicious that the culprit may be closer to

home than he’d like. As Abi Webster (Sally Carman) catches him watching an online news report, she insists that he had it coming. Could Kevin suspect

that she is the woman responsible?

Viewers will know that Stefan and the Websters don’t get on, for a number of reasons.

Back in 2021, Stefan’s son, Corey, murdered Abi’s son, Seb, in a violent hate crime.

Since then, Corey has been in prison, but Abi was left horrified when she learnt that he was set to be the subject of a documentary, painting him in a positive light.

After Abi spoke out against the documentary, Stefan targeted her by making deep fake porn videos of her, though Abi agreed not to report him to the police if he promised to put a stop to what he was doing.

Prior to the arson attack, Stefan reaches out to Kevin in the hopes of putting an end to their feud, but when he heads to the house while Kevin is out, he manages to convince Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) to let him wait inside.

In upcoming scenes, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) pulls both Kevin and Abi in for questioning over the fire.

Things don’t look good when she pulls out doorbell evidence that proves Abi visited Stefan’s house.
