Time is running out for the residents of Coronation Street, as a variety of storylines reach pivotal moments this September.
As this new trailer shows, there’s a lot going on as we say goodbye to the summer months and welcome autumn – and we’re very excited.
Following Dee-Dee’s (Channique Sterling-Brown) discovery about Joel Deering (Calum Lill), this teaser trailer shows her working with DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) to try and find a shred of evidence that links him to Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) attack.
With smart and manipulative Joel fully aware of what’s going on though, he is set to try and plot an escape from his crimes.
He’s incredibly certain he can get away with abusing Lauren and other vulnerable young girls, but will Dee-Dee and Lisa nail him in time?
Or will Joel leave without facing the consequences?
Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Paul’s (Peter Ash) motor neurone disease storyline will come to a devastating conclusion.
His partner Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) has been desperate to make every second count as he holds onto his love for Paul, but when he is rushed to hospital while under Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) and Summer’s (Harriet Bibby) care, the race is on to get Billy to Paul’s bedside to say his final goodbye.
Will he get there in time?
Elsewhere, after spending weeks developing feelings for Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), Nick (Ben Price) is on borrowed time as he fights to keep his affair hidden from Toyah’s sister Leanne (Jane Danson).
Fully aware the truth would completely blow the family apart, how much longer can Nick keep a lid on this ticking time bomb?
