Corrie confirms the date when Paul will meet his end: on his very own birthday!

Coronation Street fans think they’ve figured out when Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) will lose his battle with MND.

Last year, the fan-favourite was diagnosed with the disease as his health has rapidly declined over the past few months.

Paul had previously made the decision that he wanted his life to end on his own terms, obtaining drugs to take when the time called.

Last week, viewers watched heartbreaking scenes as he decided to end his own life in the arms of his husband Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).

However, they were interrupted by Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Paul’s plan was halted.

In the most recent instalment, he told Billy he was sticking around for his upcoming birthday as he made a huge decision on his life.

He told Billy that he’s had a change of heart and wants to die naturally, instead of his original plan to end his life.

Although ITV views believe they’ve worked out when Paul will meet his end on the cobbles.

Another fan wrote: “Storyline with Paul is breaking my heart. I feel for them all

“Paul’s gonna die around his birthday on August 24th” tweeted one viewer.

Someone else added: “I think deep down Paul doesn’t want to end it all. That’s why he keeps stalling.”

Praising the emotional scenes, another commented: “Billy and Paul scenes are so strong even in today’s episode.”

This week, the cast of Coronation Street were spotted filming scenes for Paul’s funeral, suggesting his end is coming in the next few months.

In images published by Metro, Paul’s closest family and friends were seen looking sombre as they mourned their loved one.

His husband was seen at the funeral along with his mum Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), twin sister Gemma Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell), daughter Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).

Other characters spotted at the emotional scene included David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) and Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment).

His long-lost brother Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was also in attendance, although viewers still have their suspicions over Kit’s real intentions with his family.

Recently, fans saw a special episode which was told in Paul’s point of view, highlighting his inner thoughts and frustrations over his condition.

Speaking about the powerful special, actor Peter Ash said: “I feel incredibly proud to have worked on this episode. From the moment I read the script I knew it was going to be something really special (mostly because I couldn’t stop crying!)

“I loved being able to record Paul’s inner thoughts, showing us the mind is still 100%, even with MND. I hope the audience enjoys it, as everyone involved gave their all!”
