Coronation Street viewers are worried for Alina Pop after her recent return to the cobbles with her young son Dorin.
Alina, portrayed by Ruxandra Porojnicu, made a surprise comeback to Weatherfield after an unexpected encounter with her former love rival Fiz, played by Jennie Mcalpine, in a car park. It soon became apparent that her ex-husband Tyrone (Alan Halsall) could potentially be the father of Alina’s child.
Fans will recall that Tyrone and Alina were previously involved romantically before Alina departed, denying she was pregnant. In her last scene, audiences saw her at the airport departure lounge, tenderly holding her growing baby bump.
Fast forward three years, Tyrone is keen to be a committed father to their young son, but Alina has plans to relocate back to Romania.
She only returned to testify in court as the head of a human trafficking group faces trial, reports the Manchester Evening News.
As the case continues, Alina is anticipated to give a statement reflecting on her experiences as a victim of modern slavery.
However, in a concerning turn of events, she has begun receiving threatening phone calls and has suggested that the human traffickers may be attempting to intimidate her ahead of the next court date. But is she at risk?
Some Corrie enthusiasts believe something fatal will occur to Alina and Dorin will end up in the care of Tyrone and Fiz, resulting in a permanent move to Weatherfield.
