The makers are building up a big storyline for Teddy Mitchell, tease the latest EastEnders spoilers. Going by how the story is progressing, we have a feeling that there is going to be disruption in Teddy’s love life soon.

The Walford newcomer arrived last month and has been making quite an impression on everyone. However, no one knows anything about his mysterious past, and fans have been buzzing with theories about the same. Read on to find more details!

EastEnders Fans Speculate Theories Around Teddy’s Past

Speculation mill is churning rapidly when it comes to Teddy’s sneaky past and the viewers of the BBC1 soap have it all figured out. Billy Mitchell’s estranged half-brother arrived in Albert Square with his sons Harry and Barney in tow after his dad Stevie suffered an attack.

After reaching Walford, Teddy was introduced to his long-lost family and he was quick to bond with them. Along with that, he has not shied from impressing Sharon time and again since his arrival.

However, regular viewers of the show still have no idea about Teddy’s family history. Although he has mentioned his ex-wife a couple of times since he started attempting to court Walford’s businesswoman. Despite the intrigue, the character has shied away from mentioning her by name.

EastEnders spoilers also relay that when Sharon and Teddy meet for a drink at The Queen Vic, he opened up about his tumultuous past relationship. He confessed, “No, honestly, me and my ex, we can’t even be in the same room together, let alone run a business”, prompting Sharon to ask: “Treated you that bad, did she?” Without missing a beat, Teddy responded: “No the opposite, I loved her to death, but she was toxic for me. I’m telling you, we would just row, proper rows that would go on for hours.”

Ever since, the newcomer has remained tight-lipped about the details of his former spouse and we have not seen any pictures of her either. This led to some eagle-eyed fans putting the puzzle pieces together and suspect that Chrissie Watts might be the mystery ex-wife.

Why is that, you ask? The BBC1 soap recently confirmed that Chrissie Watts is all set to make an explosive comeback on the show later this year. So, it is likely that she might be the missing link in Teddy’s story.

One of the fans predicted, “Theory: suppose Chrissie IS connected to Teddy is like an ex-girlfriend/wife as she did have own life before she met Dirty Den in Spain or she’s the mother of one of his sons, probably Barney?” Another one suggested, “What if Teddy’s wife is Chrissie Watts, and she turns up at his engagement with Sharon?”

Long-time viewers know that Chrissie was last seen on the show in 2005 and is also related to Sharon, so a double trouble storyline might be in the making. Chrissie is the person responsible for the murder of Sharon’s father, Den Watts and she buried him under the barrel store floor of The Vic with help from Sam and Zoe.
