The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, July 5 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will remind his daughter Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is Harrison Locke’s (Redding Munsell) biological father.

Also coming up, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will come to an agreement. Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will question Kyle. And Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will spill the beans to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

Y&R spoilers tease Chelsea and Adam will put their clothes back on. He’ll ask if she’s okay. “I don’t know,” she’ll reply. “You?” And Adam will say “same.” He’ll wonder if she wants to talk about it. But Chelsea will say she wouldn’t know where to begin.

“It’s not like we planned this, or expected this, it just happened,” Adam will say. “It was just an unexpected moment,” she’ll reply. “It was a mistake,” Adam will add. “Maybe the best idea is to not talk about it to anyone.” And Chelsea will agree.

After Adam leaves, Chelsea will leave a message for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), saying she misses him and is going to come home in the morning. And Adam will leave a message for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), telling her the exact same thing.

At Society, Victor will ask Kyle why he’d tell his father that they’re colluding against him. But he’ll swear he hasn’t said a word about their connection. He’ll apologize for his father coming after him.

However, Victor will say he doesn’t care about that. “What I am concerned about is disloyalty, in people who work for me.”

However, Kyle will say there is no betrayal. He’ll add that Victor raised Diane’s suspicions because he knew he’d left Jabot. Then he’ll ask The Mustache if his father was right and this is a revenge plot. But Victor will say what he wants is a massive success.

As Victor is leaving he’ll greet Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), who is walking in to get some takeout. But he’ll stare at them through the window as his granddaughter says hello to Kyle and smiles at him. Kyle will confide in Claire, telling her he’s moving out of the Abbott estate with his son.

Meanwhile, Summer will discuss her ex-husband with her parents. “Kyle, he just keeps on making these bad decisions,” she’ll say. So, she’ll tell them Kyle is involved with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) again. Nick will ask if he’s romantically involved with her.

Summer will say she doesn’t think so but it could go that way. They’ll ask why she cares and she’ll tell them for Harrison Locke’s (Redding Munsell) sake. “It could have just been a random meeting,” Phyllis will point out.

But Summer will say no, there’s something more. And she’ll tell them Kyle will be working with Audra at Glissade. She’ll add that Diane fired Kyle at Jabot.

“Diane fired her own son?” Phyllis will ask. “That makes no sense, who does that?” Summer will say apparently Diane does. Then she’ll add that Kyle is on a reckless path. “I feel that I want Harrison to be spending more time with me.”

Phyllis will ask if she’s thinking about taking Harrison away from Kyle. Summer will admit she told Kyle she wanted to speak to a lawyer but she’s hoping to avoid it. “Summer, Kyle is Harrison’s biological father,” Nick will remind her. “Unless the child is feeling unsafe, or if Kyle is a threat, you’re just not going to win that argument.” But Summer will tell her father she can’t believe he’d go there and she’ll storm off.

Finally, Summer will end up at the Abbott estate. She’ll see Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and say she just wanted to look in on Harrison. But Diane will ask if she could speak to Summer before she heads upstairs. “I need your help.” She’ll tell Summer she needs someone to get through to Kyle.

“Moving out of the house is definitely not the answer and it’s not a good move for Harrison.” “What?!” Summer will reply. Diane will say she thought Summer would be the first person he’d tell. But she’ll say she had no idea. “Diane, how did you let this happen?” Summer will ask her.
