The last thing we expected was for Kristina to crash through the window in Ava’s room. She plummets down five

flights and lands in the pool.

After that, nothing would ever be the same. Kristina lost her baby and promptly broke up with Blaze.  Kristina sent

her away to join Miguel Morez (Ricky Martin) on tour.

Now Kristina is in serious legal trouble because John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) is relentlessly after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He’ll get to those closest to him if he can’t get to Sonny.

Cates had Ava lie about what happened at the hotel, and she gave a statement saying that Kristina was out of control and tried to kill her.

Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) is furious with Kristina. The baby’s funeral took place on the August 22nd episode of GH.

While Kristina was saying goodbye at her daughter’s grave, she called the baby Adela, which is Sonny’s mother’s name. Molly was taken aback and laid into Kristina. Molly and T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow) named the baby Irene after T.J.’s grandmother.

The sisters were at each other’s throats. Between the baby’s death, her feud with Molly, and the mess with Agent Cates and Ava, Kristina doesn’t have much room in her life for a relationship.

Kristina knew she had nothing left to give to Blaze, which is a big part of the reason she forced her to leave Port Charles.

Blaze’s exit may only be temporary, as she was once let go and asked to return in September 2023 to have a romance with Kristina.

We can’t imagine this is the last we’ll hear from Blaze, as this is the first person since Parker Forsyth (Ashley Jones) who’s really clicked with the character in the love department.

Blaze and Kristina’s bond translated well onscreen, and many fans responded to that. Another reason why we think she’ll return is because gay women are underrepresented in soaps.

Kristina and “Allie” had more stories to tell. They faced prejudice from the haters and stood up to it. Kristina will need some levity after everything she’s been through, and Blaze would be the perfect person to uplift her again.

Blaze’s mom, Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), is also in Port Charles. We still don’t understand why the show chose to let go of a strong and likable gay woman and keep the mother whose homophobic rant almost ruined her career.

Not only is the LTGBQ community underrepresented on soap, but so is the Hispanic community. Fans are also already pushing for a Blaze return.

“One great thing about this role is seeing community form! I hope it continues for those who don’t feel it in their immediate circles.”

We hope Blaze returns to the GH canvas, and when she does, we hope she can help Kristina find the light inside her again.
