Sonny wants Nina to stand by him and testify in court that he is a good father. General Hospital Spoilers confirm that Nina gave him her word that she would do exactly that if his custody battle reached the courtroom. Following that, Sonny made peace with Nina over how he had ended their marriage. He even asked her if she would like to restart their friendship.

This is a clear indication that moving forward, Nina and Sonny are going to remain in each other’s orbits more often. Considering the history they have shared, Nina would have no trouble realizing that Sonny is off his meds, once the placebos take effect on him. She already voiced her doubts about Ava before. A little investigation on Nina’s part could go a long way in exposing Ava’s role in tampering with Sonny’s medication. If she manages to expose her former bestie, not only will Ava lose this battle, but Sonny too, will be able to get the medication he so clearly needs. This would serve a great deal in rehabilitating Nina and Sonny’s broken bond.

But will the bond get repaired enough for sparks to fly between them? He is currently pursuing Natalia, but we know she isn’t a permanent fixture in PC’s fabric. So, a Nina-Sonny romantic reboot is certainly possible.
