When Kristina miscarried after her tragic fall on General Hospital, Molly didn’t just lose the baby she and TJ were expecting… she also lost her sister! Molly barely had time to process that Kristina had lost the baby before learning about her argument with Ava that led to the fall.
“It broke my heart, those scenes where I’m in the hospital with her and I’m so happy that she’s okay, but then I’m also learning all these details about Kristina going to see Ava and maybe being the aggressor,” Kristen Vaganos (Molly) told Soap Opera Digest. “I think when something this tragic happens, you need someone to blame.”
Throughout the surrogacy, Molly and TJ both worried that Kristina wasn’t the right choice and feared something could go wrong but neither of them could have anticipated something like this. And these two sisters who have constantly been at odds all their lives will have a long, hard road to reconciliation… if that’s even possible.

“It’s horrible because it’s not only losing a baby, it’s losing a sister,” Vaganos explained. “I don’t know if they can come back from this. This is the ultimate betrayal… When you go through something like this, sometimes that person who’s involved in it with you forever represents that loss and you sort of can’t look at them the same way and you can’t love them the same way.
“I think that’s definitely what’s happening with Kristina and Molly,” she continued. “Now, I look at her and I just see blame and I just see fault and I see betrayal and I can’t feel love and trust and gratitude toward her for having carried the baby. All I can see is that she’s at fault for losing it and it’s heartbreaking and it fills me with anger and sorrow. I think it’s impossible to repair that relationship — at least right now.”
