Katelyn MacMullen Opens Up About Working With Cameron Mathison
Katelyn MacMullen has played Willow on General Hospital since 2018. But nothing prepared her for the shocking kiss between Willow and Drew (Cameron Mathison) earlier this summer. After all, Drew is the uncle of Willow’s husband, Michael (Chad Duell.) Drew has also been carrying on secret trysts with Willow’s mother, Nina (Cynthia Watros.)
The 20-year age difference between Willow and Drew is even more shocking to fans. But the age difference doesn’t seem to bother Katelyn MacMullen. In fact, she told Soap Opera Digest that both she and Cameron Mathison were excited to explore the attraction between their characters.
What was it like for the relatively new actress to star alongside the soap vet and Hallmark hunk? She told SOD that Cameron Mathison has been “incredible.”

Willow and Drew immediately regretted locking lips. However, neither can stop thinking about it. The actress teased to the soap magazine that fans can expect things between Willow and Drew to heat up even more.
But not everyone behind the scenes is happy about the pairing. Katelyn MacMullen joked that co-star Chad Duell, who plays her on-screen husband, has gotten a little jealous over the Willow and Drew storyline.

“We didn’t necessarily strategize [about how to play it], we just made sure, honestly, to have as much as possible — like we would run our lines and shoot ideas at each other and be like, ‘What do you think of this moment?’ or, ‘What do you think about me doing this?’ And then we would just see what happened when we got on set, and obviously we got direction as well. But we’ve definitely just been trying to have as much fun with it as possible, which has been great.”
“He is so professional and talented and lovely and he’s just truly a dream to work with.”
“Chad is so funny. He would see us together and he’d be like, ‘What’s going on over here?! Why are you guys talking?! What is this?!’
