Emmerdale is set for a dramatic turn as Samson Dingle and Josh Cop’s storyline takes a critical shift next week. 

The teen duo has managed to deceive most of the Dingle family following the recent stabbing incident at the hide, 

but tensions escalate when Lydia overhears a suspicious conversation.

In the upcoming episode, Samson and Josh decide to accelerate their plans for a trip around Europe. 

When Moira catches wind of their decision, she becomes determined to prevent them from leaving. Meanwhile, her son, Matty Barton, continues to struggle in prison. 

Moira storms into the Dingles’ cottage and accuses Samson of having ulterior motives for wanting to leave the country. She suspects he is trying to evade the repercussions of falsely accusing Matty. Despite Moira’s accusations, Sam staunchly defends his son, believing in his innocence. Samson assures his father that he’ll return in time for Matty’s trial, persuading Sam to allow him to go with Josh.

However, Moira refuses to back down and secretly resolves to sabotage their plans. Later in the week, Lydia, Samson’s stepmother, begins to suspect that he may be lying. Her suspicions reach a breaking point when she witnesses Josh threatening Samson in the middle of the village. Josh warns Samson about the consequences of betraying him and maintaining their fabricated story. Shocked by what she sees, Lydia starts to question whether she has been supporting the wrong side in this escalating conflict.

Swallowing her pride, Lydia decides to confide in Moira about her doubts. Moira, hopeful for a breakthrough, implores Lydia to assist her in uncovering the truth. Will Lydia be willing to help Moira expose the deception?

Emmerdale’s compelling storyline for Samson unfolded last month when he was accidentally stabbed during a robbery at the hide. With Josh intent on covering up the true events of that night, he pressured Samson into falsely claiming that Matty had attacked him deliberately.
