The life of Linda Carter hangs by a thread in the upcoming EastEnders episodes. Will she make it through her ordeal?

The Queen Vic landlady, played by Kellie Bright is set to be plagued by anonymous threatening letters 

while Dean Wicks (played by Matt Di Angelo) remains incarcerated for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) Christmas murder.

Linda is left petrified after receiving blackmail letters, and she and Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) attempt to figure out the sender. 

The letters start arriving after a friend of Dean’s tries to negotiate a deal to exonerate him.

However, Linda’s torment extends into the following week, and as her alcoholism spirals out of control, she finds herself in peril.

On Tuesday (August 13), Linda has spent the entire night drinking, leaving her son Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) unsure of how to assist her.

Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) intervenes, promising Johnny that she will take care of his mother. However, when lawyer Johnny returns to The Vic, a heated argument erupts between him and Linda.

Later, Johnny recovers from the clash with his mother, but upon returning home, he discovers Linda in a critical condition.

Johnny dials for an ambulance, and paramedics rush into the pub to aid Linda. At the hospital, Johnny blames Gina for Linda’s predicament, demanding that she vacate The Vic.

Callum Highway (Tony Clay) is there to provide emotional support to his friend Johnny. However, Johnny misinterprets Callum’s compassion and attempts to kiss him.

But will Callum reciprocate? Will Linda be able to overcome her tribulations?

In another twist, Gina approaches Junior’s (Micah Balfour) place and requests to move in after being evicted by Johnny.

The sudden request leaves him flustered, fearing that his lover Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) might show up, leading to him upsetting Gina by turning her down.
