As fans of the ITV soap know, money has been tight for the couple with their brood but Kit seemingly came to the rescue

Coronation Street fans are adamant that Kit Green has an ‘ulterior motive’ as it was revealed he was planning on buying Gemma and Chesney Brown’s home. As fans of the ITV soap know, money has consistently been tight for the couple with their brood.
It was just last year that the pair tied the knot in one of Weatherfield’s biggest weddings, with the bride sporting a huge orange dress decked out with fairy lights. But the cash-strapped couple haven’t ever been far from facing troubles, particularly when it comes to their children and their finances.
Since the wedding, viewers of the ITV soap have seen Joseph’s grandmother Linda pay for him to go to private school but their money woes have continued and earlier this month, Gemma was seen kicking a pair of shows from a shop for her daughter Carhys after a call from the school said the youngster was in pain with her small footwear.

However, prior to that, Dee Dee Bailey informed Gemma that her landlord could be fined for failing to carry out essential repairs to No.5’s boiler if she reported him. She set about sending him a strongly-worded text but when her landlord arrived with a plumber to fix the boiler, only to then serves them an eviction notice, leaving the couple, who have five children between them, heartbroken.
They have since been struggling to find a new home within their price range and were rightly furious when Summer Spellman told them she’s seen Gemma’s long-lost brother Kit with an estate agent going for a look around, hearing him talking about ‘flipping’ the property.
When he then arrived in the Rovers Return, Gemma was quick to confront him and hinted at Chesney to hit him. As Kit got close to Chesney, Bernie Winter stepped it and reminded them that Kit was a copper and he’d only arrest him.
Kit then explained that he was buying the property to rent out to them, meaning they could stay in their home. However, Kit’s darker side once again shone through when he quietly spoke to his biological mum about his dislike for her.
And the scenes quickly had Corrie fans flocking to social media to add to their concerns about Kit not being able to be trusted.@TazzieNorwich said: “Kit has definitely got a nasty, hidden side #Corrie.” @RyanTheSoapking commented: “I still don’t fully trust Kit #Corrie.”
@StVitusDance wrote: “Nice of Kit but reckon he has an ulterior motive. They owe him now #Corrie.” @1stLadyHooligan shared: “Kit buying their house to rent it to Gemma & Chesney. just another game. #Corrie.” But @Wee_Westie29 darkly added: “I still don’t trust Kit. He tried to turn the twins against Bernie and he hates her. He’s bought Chesney and Gemma’s house. I wouldn’t be surprised if he kills Paul in some surprise dark twist as part of some sick revenge. #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie.”
