Coronation Street’s Maria issues a final warning to Sarah after uncovering Gary’s big secret. Recently, Maria’s partner, Gary Windass, has grown close to his former flame, Sarah, as they teamed up to deal with Bethany Platt’s abuser, Nathan Curtis.

In Monday’s episode, Maria makes a shocking discovery about Gary and Sarah’s secret alliance during an unexpected encounter at the police precinct.
Maria visits the station to inquire about protecting her son Liam after learning that Mason Radcliffe, who bullied Liam, is set to be released from prison. At the station, she sees Gary and Sarah together in an interrogation room.
Gary is then forced to confess to Maria that he’s been providing his bank statements to the police because he gave £10,000 of the factory sale money to Sarah. He explains that they agreed Sarah could use the money to pay off Nathan to leave town.

Seeking answers, Maria shows up unannounced at Sarah’s doorstep for an awkward confrontation. She questions whether Sarah still has feelings for Gary.
Sarah insists it was all about Bethany and apologizes, explaining she was desperate. Maria, however, accuses Sarah of exploiting Gary’s sympathy and admits she’s not convinced it was solely about Bethany.
Maria bluntly asks Sarah if she will back off now that the situation with Nathan is resolved. “I know we live on the same street, but you don’t really need him in your life,” Maria declares as she prepares to leave.

She warns Sarah that if she uses Gary’s feelings for Bethany to get him involved in anything shady again, there will be consequences.
The confrontation ends abruptly when Bethany arrives, leaving the question of whether Sarah is ready to let Gary go unanswered.
