Dying Nish Paneser (Navin Chowdhry) took brutal revenge on Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) after she reneged on their ‘arrangement’ in Thursday’s EastEnders.
Earlier this week, viewers saw Priya make Nish the offer of her ‘company’ in exchange for cash to secure a financial future for her and kids Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) and Avani (Aaliyah James).
In return, Nish hoped to make ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) jealous.
The pair ended up sharing a kiss, which Nugget witnessed through the window of No. 41 before collapsing. However, they were stopped from going any further when they were interrupted with news about Nugget.
While the teen has been in hospital receiving treatment for his misuse of steroids, Nish has continued to remind Priya of their deal, which she appeared to be having second thoughts about.
In Thursday’s episode, Priya continued to grow closer to ex Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) as they united to support their son. There were hopes of a romantic reconciliation when he told her that they should have a think about their future together after Nugget returns home.
Nish witnessed the exchange and attempted to blackmail her into going public as a couple, but she told him their deal was now off, and he deserved to die alone.
Back on the Square, Nish put a revenge plan against Priya into action. Faking a health episode as he bumped into Ravi, he lied to his son and told him he and Priya had slept together after weeks of her ‘grifting’ and ‘teasing’ him.
Including part of the truth in his web of lies, he said Nugget saw them kissing through the window of No. 41 before he collapsed. He then claimed that after they’d slept together, Priya tried to blackmail him by going after his businesses and properties in exchange for her silence about their supposed liaison.
A furious Ravi then headed upstairs and packed a number of bags, before confronting Priya when she returned home with Avani and Suki.
Priya was unable to convince her family that she hadn’t slept with Nish, with Avani disgusted at her mum’s apparent actions.
It was then revealed that the bags Ravi had packed were actually Avani’s, and he would be taking their daughter to live with him across the Square, leaving Priya devastated.
As Avani and Ravi walked out of No. 41, a smug Nish looked convinced he’d got one over on a tearful Priya. However, fully aware of how manipulative Nish is, Suki could be seen taking the situation all in – will she let Priya in on her secret plot to destroy Nish?
