Corrie fans reckon they’ve cracked the case on when Lauren Bolton will be back on our screens.
The young lass, portrayed by Cait Fitton, vanished back in February, and what started as a search mission quickly turned into a murder probe.
The finger-pointing had viewers eyeing up several Weatherfield regulars, with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and Roy Cropper (David Neilson) landing in hot water, and poor old Roy even got banged up for the supposed crime.
Plot twist though it was dodgy copper Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) who chucked Lauren’s DNA into Nathan Curtis’s (Christopher Harper) motor to set him up.
But the truth was revealed when it was confirmed creepy lawyer Joel Deering (Calum Lill) was behind the whole thing. In some seriously grim flashback scenes, we saw him knocking Lauren out cold, reports the Express.
Since then, Joel’s been acting like normal and carrying on with his day-to-day life. He’s also been getting all loved-up with his soon-to-be missus Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown).
Roy’s out of prison now, but he’s due for a drama of his own next week. Spoilers reveal Roy is confronted by a gang of yobs calling him names and he stumbles to the floor. Carla rushes to his aid but it is clear he is in pain.
He is then rushed to hospital where a visitor appears at Roy’s bedside. The Corrie fandom is buzzing with theories that Lauren’s not pushing up daisies after all.
Viewers are certain that she’ll be the mystery visitor. On Facebook, the chatter’s all about this twist, with one fan betting: “It will be Lauren.”
Another chimed in with: “Lauren I think.” A third spectator chimed in: “There have been posts saying he gets a visitor but Nina thinks he’s hallucinating. I reckon Lauren visits him! ! ! ! ” A different viewer posted: “Defo Lauren, because that’s who the storyline is about! !”
