With his ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) living across the Square and her daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) unravelling, EastEnders’ George Knight (Colin Salmon) and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) have had their share of challenges since moving to Walford last year.
But the couple look set to hit the rocks next week, when George holds Elaine responsible when his brother Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) goes missing.
Kojo, who is autistic, has been staying with the couple in The Vic after he and brother Kobina (Jonathon Nyati) were introduced to long-lost brother George last month.
Next week, George and Kojo bond on a fun day out together, but when they return to The Vic, Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) accidentally triggers Kojo, who hits out at him.
During a heated conversation, Elaine explodes and tells George that Kojo has to leave because they aren’t equipped to manage his needs, unaware that Kojo is listening.
George tries to calm the situation, but unbeknown to him, his brother quietly slips out of The Vic. When he returns to find Kojo missing, George is distraught and blames Elaine.
After a frantic search, Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) eventually tracks him down at the tube station and tries to get him to come back to The Vic, but Kojo says he wants to go home to Ghana.
Will they manage to convince him to stay, and will George be able to forgive Elaine for driving Kojo away?
