The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) recently decided she was done with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and all the pain he’s brought to her life. Sally feels like the only way to avoid getting hurt is to stay away from Adam, so that’s exactly what she intends to do.

However, Y&R fans know a character’s intentions aren’t always set in stone.

Sally has forgiven Adam for big mistakes before, so is a future together still possible for these two?

Time will tell, but Courtney Hope suggested “you never know” in a new interview with Soaps In Depth.

Things may look bleak right now, but the Y&R actress hasn’t given up hope when it comes to Sally and Adam reuniting.

Hope confessed that she loves the passionate dynamic between the characters and the fire they bring to the table.

With that in mind, Hope’s rooting for Adam and Sally to figure all this out – at least sometime down the road.

“So I would love to say that yeah, in time, things evolve into a place where they can make it work,” Hope said before ultimately adding that “maybe a third chance is in the works” for the duo.

Of course, Hope also acknowledged that Sally needs an opportunity to process everything that’s happened and heal from the betrayal.

Adam hurt Sally deeply by hitting the sheets with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but it was perhaps his constant lies that hurt most of all.

Sally is in spin-out mode at the moment and will throw herself into Marchetti Z as a way to cope.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also help Sally deal with her sorrow, so there’s the potential for a new romance between them this autumn.

Even so, Courtney Hope isn’t making any firm predictions on whether Sally can truly put Adam behind her.

Instead, Hope is opting for a positive attitude and a “guess we’ll see” approach to all this.
