Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) trial kicked off in tonight’s episode of EastEnders and as expected, it was chaotic.

Following Linda’s (Kellie Bright) murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) last Christmas, The Six have done a fairly good job at keeping the truth hidden and preventing them all from facing time behind bars.

They managed to frame and arrest Dean for the crime, but have been waiting for the trial to try and find some form of closure.

Taking the stand on day one were Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). Thankfully, despite a little wobble, Stacey managed to hold her own when the lawyers cross-examined her.

When Sharon stood up though, things suddenly took a dramatic turn.

Dean’s lawyer, played by soap veteran Neil Roberts, began by asking Sharon if she’s a liar. This led nicely onto Finn’s point about Sharon never telling Keanu that Phil (Steve McFadden) is Albie’s biological father.

Despite the fact Sharon didn’t know about this connection for the majority of Albie’s life, she looked as though she was being dishonest due to previously swearing an oath about telling the truth.

Finn then dug further into Sharon’s past by mentioning her complicated history with Phil and his brother Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp). Of course, to the members of the jury, it leaves them wondering just how truthful Sharon is being regarding Keanu’s death.

As Sharon fell apart, she completely forgot where she was and started to say the lawyer was calling her a tramp. The Judge warned Sharon to watch what she says, but she told him to shut up.

With Bernie (Clair Norris) also in a complete state, the Judge took back control by telling Sharon that she will be held in contempt of court – something that happens when someone risks unfairly influencing the outcome of the case.

Just as Sharon was led away by police officers, Linda had arrived ready to give her statement. Seeing her best friend surrounded by the police left Linda utterly terrified. In front of other members of The Six, Sharon, and the officers, Linda said ‘I can’t!’, and ran away.

If Linda doesn’t return to court – what will the future hold for her and Sharon?

In the aftermath of the chaotic trial of Dean Wicks in EastEnders, the tension in Albert Square has reached new heights. The Six have been walking a delicate tightrope, trying to keep the truth about Keanu’s murder under wraps. Stacey Slater managed to hold her own on the witness stand, but when Sharon Watts took her turn, things quickly spiraled out of control. As Dean’s lawyer probed into Sharon’s past, exposing her complicated history with Phil and Grant Mitchell, doubts arose about her honesty regarding Keanu’s death. Sharon’s emotional breakdown only added fuel to the fire, with her outburst towards the Judge resulting in her being held in contempt of court.Amidst the chaos, Linda’s sudden flight from the courtroom left everyone in shock. With the future of both Sharon and Linda hanging in the balance, the question remains – will Linda return to face the music, or will her disappearance have dire consequences for them both?As the drama unfolds in Walford, the residents are left reeling from the fallout of the trial.
