One Coronation Street character makes a worrying discovery next week that could see a storyline take a new turn on the ITV soap. The show’s cult storyline will at some point come to an end with villain Rowan Cunliffe facing a downfall it seems. Coronation Street looks set to air a sad exit for a character next week on the ITV soap despite a previous denial by the actress playing her. Just a year ago, Beth Tinker actress Lisa George ruled out an exit for her character, dispelling reports she was leaving the show for good. Months later though and the rumours emerged again, detailing a summer exit for the character after 13 years.

Now it seems this could be the case after weeks of speculation, as Beth is threatened to leave Weatherfield for good in sinister scenes. In a dark twist, she crosses a new potential villain who blackmails her, with her warned if she doesn’t leave there will be serious consequences.

Joel targets Lauren

Coronation Street’s Joel Deering turns sinister once more next week, as he leaves Lauren Bolton terrified on the ITV soap. After Friday’s dramatic episode that saw Dee-Dee Bailey expose him to his ex Emily, resulting in her stopping him from seeing their young daughter, Joel takes action.

Next week there’s more drama as Joel starts targeting Lauren again, heading to the hospital where their son Frankie is. But what does Joel want and why is he there?

As she comes face-to-fave with him she’s terrified, while it’s not revealed what happens. What is revealed though is moments earlier Joel gets a police update.

DS Swain is disgusted then she’s told they haven’t enough evidence against Joel, and he is able to be released amid the case. Through gritted teeth, she tells Joel that he’s free to go – but can she find the evidence needed?

Betsy Swain hears her mum talking to Daniel Osbourne about the case, so will she help the expose Joel? It’s then that Joel heads straight to the hospital and waits for Lauren, but what has he got planned?
