Coronation Street’s Kit Green will be put under suspicion next week, as his involvement in Nathan Curtis’ arrest is revisited.

Villain Nathan was arrested for Lauren Bolton’s murder earlier this summer, after one of Lauren’s hairs was discovered in his van.
While Sarah Platt believes that she was responsible for planting the hair, viewers know that it was actually police officer Kit who left it so that he could secure Nathan’s conviction.
Although Lauren has now returned alive, her real attacker Joel Deering is still desperately covering up his own involvement, and Nathan remains in prison.

In scenes that will air next week, Nathan’s case is back on our screens as DS Swain brings Sarah in for questioning again,

revealing that there have been new developments in the investigation.

Sarah denies that she planted Lauren’s hair in Nathan’s van, but she is left shaken by her visit to the police station.
Sarah later urges her daughter Bethany Platt’s boyfriend, Daniel Osbourne, to help persuade Bethany to drop her campaign against Nathan, in order to remove the glare of suspicion from herself.
Later on, Daniel confides in Daisy Midgeley that he doesn’t trust Kit and that something doesn’t feel right about Nathan’s case, despite his criminal history of grooming.
Should Kit be worried about Daniel’s suspicions, and is he about to be exposed for framing Nathan?

Jacob Roberts, who joined the soap as Kit earlier this year, has previously explained why Kit framed Nathan, saying that “everything Kit does is justified for him”.
“With the Nathan stuff, he’s done it because he doesn’t want anyone like Nathan on the streets,” he said. “He’s thinking, ‘Well, he needs to be locked up’.”
He added that Kit will “do everything he can” to “reach the top”, even if it involves manipulation and underhand behaviour – something which Kit has proved further by tricking his colleague Craig Tinker into making a major confession.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, August 21 and Friday, August 23.
