EastEnders has revealed the future of Cindy Beale and Junior Knight’s affairin the show’s latest episode.
Yesterday’s episode (August 14) was left on a cliffhanger, as George called round to Junior’s flat to ask why he refused to let Gina move in with him – while Cindy was hiding in the bedroom.
In the latest episode, having spotted clothes on the floor, George asked to be introduced to the woman Junior seemingly gave up his family for – who he doesn’t realise is his ex-wife Cindy.
George reminded Junior that it is his son’s birthday tomorrow and pleaded with him to learn from his mistakes, but Junior refused to listen and got angry.
As a blazing row ensued between the pair, Junior offered to introduce his new woman to George and even opened the bedroom door, leaving a terrified Cindy close to being discovered.
Thankfully, George wasn’t interested in meeting her and left shortly after, but Cindy was furious with Junior about what had just unfolded.
Accusing Junior of wanting to humiliate her, she came to the conclusion that he was just with her to get back at his dad and stormed out after another tense argument.
Cindy went to see Gina and told her daughter she could come and live with her, before George came in and told them about Junior’s mystery woman.
Meanwhile, Junior had a drink with Lauren and in speaking about Gina, he told her he was involved with someone – an older woman with kids, who is already in a relationship.
Junior explained to Lauren that he was scared about living with someone else because he didn’t like people getting too close, but Lauren spoke about her late sister Abi and encouraged him to form a bond with Gina.
As Gina and Cindy were packing her things, Junior arrived and said he had changed his mind about living with her and Gina excitedly accepted his offer.
In The Vic toilets, Cindy told Junior she was annoyed about his change of heart, but he managed to make amends, and they hooked up in one of the stalls.
As the whole family shared some champagne to celebrate Junior and Gina moving in together, Junior secretly put his hand on Cindy’s leg under the table.
But at the bar, George asked Gina to keep an eye on Junior for him, saying he has a bad feeling about the woman he is seeing. Will Gina discover Junior and Cindy’s affair?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
